Hope in the Lord

Hope is not wishful thinking. Our confidence is Jesus. He is our anchor that connects us to God. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. Corrie ten Boom was right when she said, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

We may find ourselves asking God where He is, but we must remind ourselves that God loves us, and God is with us all day long, and we need to focus on God intentionally, Satan will send as many distractions as he can to keep us from focusing on God.

“We simply cannot live without hope.

Christian hope is an anchor for our souls. It stabilizes us during difficult seasons because we know this is not how our story ends. It is rooted in our belief and trust in a personal God, His salvation and eternity. This Psalm ends in hope. The Psalmist looked beyond his circumstances and saw what God held out to him for his spiritual well being. Have you ever felt despair as you faced life’s struggles? Well you’d be in good company Biblical speaking. Nearly all the Biblical figures you and I know had to deal with finding hope amid life’s struggles.

The hope that God has for us is not something that is without effort. We must reach for it to grasp it.

• It is for those who believe
• It is for those who take it seriously
• It is for those who are willing to sacrifice their despair to find it
• It is for those who will remember that God is more powerful than anything
