I am a Child of God
I’m no longer a slave by songwiters Jonathan Helser Joel Case Brian Johnson.
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a Child of God
From my mother’s womb
You have chosen me
Love has called my name
I’ve been born again
Into Your family
Your blood flows through my veins
By songs of deliverance
From our bondage
Let us sing our freedom
I am a . . .
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s spirit when he adopted you as one of his own children. Now we call him “Abba, Father.” As a result, I am now a child of God.
What does it mean to me to be a Child of God?
Firstly, it means we have been adopted into the family of God. There is something from my Heavenly Father inside of me—some piece of divinity—and since I did nothing to deserve it, there is nothing I can do to take it away, and my father is in control of everything. The song “I Am a Child of God” embodies this concept. The Child of God T-Shirt captures the concept of no longer being a slave.
Many people are born into a famous family and enjoy all of the rights and privileges of being born that way. We, as Children of God, are adopted into a very famous family, the family of God, and we have a right to all the privileges that come with it. I say it again: I am a child of God.
Most importantly, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.” In other words, we are no longer slaves to sin, and we can walk away from our sinful desires and begin to live as Christ desires us to live.
In conclusion, we need to start seeing ourselves not as slaves but as children of God. Use this long-sleeve t-shirt to spread the message.
